What Type of Learner is Your Child?

Determining Your Child’s Learning Style

What’s the best curriculum for my child? ” There is no correct answer to this question. What works for one child may not work for another child. Not every child will learn in the same way.

By acknowledging and understanding how your child learns best can truly help set your homeschool up for success, and it can help with narrowing down curriculum options.

Educators have worked to define and describe the way people process information including learning personalities, modalities, and styles. The basic three are VAK: Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic (or Tactile).

IDEA Homeschool recommends using the Barbe Modality Checklist to help you determine which type of learner you and your child might be.
